My everyday make up
Just wanted to start off by apologising for not posting last week. I was very sick last week so I wasn't able to stay awake long enough to actually write up a blog post.
Anyways, I don't often wear make up but occasionally I do put a full face of make up on so I thought I would share with you guys my everyday make up routine. When I wear make up just for casual outings I wear very basic make up for a 'my skin but better' natural look.
I first start off by cleansing my skin, putting on moisturiser and then spraying a hydrating mist toner.
For my skin, I first dampen my beauty sponge and take a bit of product from the NYX pro lip cream palette which I then use as a cream blush. I find that the cream blush gives me the most natural rosy cheeks. I then take powdered foundation from The Body Shop on a dense foundation brush and buff it into my skin which gives my skin a little bit of coverage and smooths out my skin a little bit but doesn't look like I have foundation on.
I then apply a light layer of matte bronzer from NYX around the perimeter of my face to warm up my face and give it a bit of depth. This bronzer from NYX is a perfect shade which is not too muddy and orange but not too cool toned either.
Although I do love a high shine highlight that gives me the brightest glow, I also think that a more glow within highlight is better suited for a natural look. I take the highlighter from the Australis AC on Tour Light Complexion Contouring and Highlighting Kit which I put on the high points of my cheeks, nose, cupid's bow and under my brow bone. It gives me a really natural, subtle and lit from within natural glow.
I then use Maybelline's Brow Satin pencil to darken my brows. I use the spongey end with powdered pigment and apply it lightly in my brows just to darken my brows. I am aware that the sponge end looks quite terrifying but using it sparingly will give you fast easy pigment to fill in your brows. A little goes a loooong way with this product.
I am a massive mascara fan so I often wear mascara without make up anyway so this step is a MUST for me. I use the L'Oreal False Lash Wings Sculpt mascara which builds up really quickly and gives me a quick dramatic eye look with only one layer. My only warning is that it clumps really quickly so just be careful if you try it out.
I then like to finish the look off with a lip balm.
So that's my basic make up routine. It takes me about 10 - 15 minutes to do it. I have found that it gives me the best subtle glowy, bronzey and healthy looking skin and is quick and easy for when I am in a rush.
Comment below what products you guys love to use and any you would recommend for me to try. Also let me know if you have anything you guys would like to see me write about. Hope you guys have a beautiful week!
