April favorites
First of all just wanted to apologise for not posting on my blog for a long time. I have some fun and exciting posts planned so I will definitely be trying to post more regularly.
Recently I have been trying a lot more make up and skincare products but also have been loving some things that I have been using for a while so I thought I might share my top 5 faves that I had in April.
The Gucci 'Envy Me' perfume has been my fave fragrance this month. Its sweeter, stronger and long lasting scent has been perfect for going out in the evenings with my family and friends and going to parties. The notes of Pink Peony, Water Jasmine and Pink Pepper blended with Lychee, Pomegranate, Pineapple with Pink Musk, Seringa and White Tea create an extra depth to the fragrance. The floral and fruity scent is to die for and not overly sweet. Also the size of the bottle of perfume has made it quite easy to travel with if I need an extra spritz while I'm out and it also looks very dainty on my bedside table.

The Micellar Cleansing Water from Garnier is just magical! It removes my make up with hardly any effort. I don't feel the need to scrub and tug at my skin, especially near the sensitive parts of my face e.g. my eyes. It doesn't irritate my skin or eyes (which with my sensitive skin is very hard to find) and doesn't leave any residue. It also doesn't make my skin feel dry or oily and keeps my oily skin matte for the rest of the day. I love this stuff! I have travelled with it and it doesn't leak and there is a smaller travel sized bottle which is so handy. I would highly recommend if you haven't tried this product to give it a go!

(Also if you consider this product quite pricey make sure to look out for sales which happen in Australia quite often at stores such as Priceline, Chemist Warehouse, Coles and Woolworths.)
I have been using this powder for about half a year and it hasn't failed me. The powder is milled finely and there is barely any fall out. It is soooo mess free and doesn't leave powder everywhere. The compact and sturdy packaging also makes it really easy to travel with. It sets my make up all night and keeps my face matte. I recently wore it to my school formal and it set my make up really well even with lots of walking around, dancing and sweating. I would definitely recommend it if you are looking for a drugstore powder that does the job but doesn't make you look cakey.

Recently, I have gotten back into rereading the Harry Potter series. Those who know me will know I am a bit of a Harry Potter fanatic. The series just helps me to escape my own stress and chaotic thoughts and temporarily be in a whole other world. There is just something so enticing about the books that makes me just a little sad that I didn't get the letter from Hogwarts 7 years ago.
Speaking of Harry Potter, I have recently been really enjoying listening to Potterless Podcast by Mike Schubert which is basically just him as a 25 year old reading the Harry Potter series for the first time. He invites his friends who are Harry Potter fans and talks all about the books, plot holes, makes predictions and hates on Quidditch. It has just made me laugh so much and taken me back to when I first discovered this magical world. It has also helped me to see the books without rose coloured glasses and it has shown me a really interesting perspective of a non biased reader. I am absolutely obsessed and I would highly recommend listening to it if you're in to the Harry Potter series or even just intrigued or sceptical about the series. You can listen to it on Spotify, on Google Play and at this link:

Hopefully I will be keeping a more regular upload schedule from now on. I'd love to hear what you guys think of my faves and if you guys have any recommendations of other things to try I'd love to give them a go. Also if you have anything you would like me to write about such as an anxiety update, how to save money on make up or any lifestyle or food posts let me know and I'm more than happy to do it for you guys!
