May faves
It's that time of the month again where I talk all the things that I have been using a lot and have really enjoyed. Unfortunately this month's faves are quite limited because I have had an extremely jam - packed month but hopefully this will be a helpful post!
This month I have had a real weird mix of products and items that I have enjoyed. Let's start with the Batiste 'Clean and Classic Original Dry Shampoo'. I have always been sceptical about whether dry shampoos actually work. The white aggressive spray that comes out was very intimidating for me. After a bit of research, reading reviews and a 50% off sale at Chemist Warehouse I decided I'd give this one a go. Initially I didn't enjoy it as I found it wasn't really effective and it left white residue in my hair. However, after many attempts I found that short sprays to a specific area of the roots which is then massaged in for a couple of minutes really gives my hair a bit of volume and gives my hair a fresh look with no nasty residue remaining. I would highly recommend this product if you are looking for a low budget, nice smelling and effective dry shampoo.
Recently, I have really been branching out with the skin care that I have been trying. With my oily and acne - prone skin I wanted to find a product which could efficiently reduce the size of my acne and get rid of texture. For me the Sukin 'Oil Balancing Plus Charcoal Anti-Pollution Facial Masque' does it all. It not only reduces the size of my acne and remove texture but also hasn't made my skin react, doesn't dry out my skin but also helps me keep the oil on my skin at bay. It has helped my skin to clear up and to reduce the breakouts that I have had. It is just such an easy product to apply and doesn't have to be used frequently. I am totally obsessed with this mask!
Let's talk about a new mascara that I love. The L'Oreal 'False Lash Butterfly Sculpt Mascara' in Black has been such a great find. I am constantly on the hunt for the BEST mascara and I think this is one of the contenders. It is so black, has an easy applicator which makes it easy to get it close to the lash line and it holds a curl. For me, most importantly it lengthens and separates my lashes sooo beautifully. I use it alone, I use it on natural make up days and also use it on glam make up days. It is just a mascara that does it all!
And finally for my two very random favourites. The Palmolive 'Nourishing Foaming Hand Wash' in the scent raspberry is the greatest handwash I have used. Now I'm not usually one to go crazy with hand wash but this one is AMAZING. It has this really heavenly fruity scent and is so nourishing and makes my hands feel so soft and smooth. Plus the foam makes washing hands so fun (even for my sister). Last of all let's talk food. Original Jatz might seem like a weird favourite but for some reason I just can't get enough of them this month. They are so versatile and suit every mood. They are great with cheese, great by themselves, great with dips and just so tasty. Just writing about them makes me crave more!
Anyways, enough of me rambling. I'd love to write some more serious blog posts on my wellbeing and mental health and some more personal things. It'd be great it you're interested, to let me know and I'll share some of my own experiences and perspectives. Look forward to sharing more with you guys next week!
